Tomorrow, will run the washing machine and do an early load, so they dry on the line by the afternoon, one good thing about hot weather is washing doesn’t take long to dry. Will be having a few dishes with mushrooms in the ingredient this week for meals as l bought a box of mushrooms for $8 from IGA this morning, figured it was cheaper than paying $8 a kilo. Did get a nice tray of mangoes for $25, which was cheaper than buying them individually for $3 apiece.

Nothing planned for the week ahead, weather wise going to be remaining in the mid to high 30′s, so it is cooler option being at home with the evaporative cooler running away.

Younger brother called me yesterday about issues at his work, l gave him some advice after tall]king through the issues, advised him to contact a friend of mine in Melbourne to see if he could go to his work with him and deal with the issues for him, he is supposedly going to be interviewed by HR about them next week. Whilst it is petty stuff, it is one of those situations that they can twist and manipulate and make serious enough allegations about it to warrant dismissing him. He has been there since he was 18, so nearly 30 years and he recently hurt his back requiring spinal operation, so he doesn’t need the aggravation at the moment.

I told him, if my friend wasn’t available than contact my solicitor in Melbourne and take him along, he has had some experience in Industrial Law and most importantly when confronted with this sort of bullshit allegations, you need to have someone independent there as a witness as a minimum and more importantly someone to act as your advocate. He could in turn make allegations against his Departmental Head for workplace victimisation, harassment and bullying and so he shouldn’t try and deal with this alone. One of the things that annoys me being in Perth so far from family is you cannot be there at a moment notice to asset them when they need it.

Perth weather is hot, they say this could be the hottest week on record, yesterday temperature reached 41 degrees and overnight my bedroom was a steady 29 degrees, today another hot one expected 38 or more, so l hope no fire bans to stop the traditional Aussie BBQ celebrations and fireworks tonight on the Swan River.

For lunch pulled some mince from the freezer and will make myself some hamburgers to eat, put off a trip to the IGA till tomorrow, all l need is more milk but with the hot weather l have put some water in the fridge to chill to drink instead of hot coffee.

Spoke briefly with Mistress yesterday on the phone in the morning when l called her at 9.30 her time she was still asleep, so won’t repeat that mistake and disturb her slumber whilst she is away on her trip. We had dinner in Northbridge, our first choice was Chinese but we forgot it was Chinese New Year, so the restaurant wanted $60 per head for its fixed menu, we wandered down to the Italian sector and went into a place and had dinner there. I ordered the slow cooked pork belly for $29, it was over cooked  the potatoes were burnt, l felt like sending it back to the kitchen but couldn’t be bothered, my friend ordered the pasta Carbonara and his client ordered the Chilli Mussel pasta, both enjoyed their meals. I dropped them back to their Hotel after a viewing of the Perth Skyline from Kings Park and was home by 10 and l put my collar back on, Mistress had left me the key to my collar and l had called her that morning to ask permission to remove it for my dinner out that night.

Mistress bought a 4 gig dongle from Big W before departing Perth, so she could continue to have internet access, as her Grandmother does not have a computer in her house and no internet connection. Petrol prices continue to amaze me last couple days they have been around $1.47 litre, just checked Fuel Watch site and Fuel tomorrow is averaging $1.41 and a petrol station near by will have the cheapest fuel at $1.34 and l have a 8c cent discount voucher so it will be $1.26, so will go fill the Range Rover in the morning after breakfast before it gets too hot. How it can be legal for fuel companies to vary fuel prices so much over a couple of days and doesn’t constitute price gouging activity baffles me.

On the way home Police had breath testing underway on beach road, l was pulled in and got a free blow of air and let go on my way in a  few minutes, however the number of cars directed to park and the drivers directed to enter the police bus for further testing was quite amazing.

Mistress left her mobile phone charger behind so this morning before it got to hot went to the Newsagent/Post Office and mailed it to her in NSW should arrive there about Thursday, so she should have enough talk time until it arrives later this week.

Done a couple loads of washing, Mistress work clothes and bath towels, in today heat they should dry quickly under the laundry verandah, for breakfast went traditional Australian schoolboy and had sliced banana on my Weetbix.

So l didn’t think Mistress wanted to have Chinese again for the 3rd day in row, so l cooked Chicken with capsicum, onions, chilli and capers in tomato sauce with pasta and went  for Italian instead.

Yesterday l had phone call about a job l applied for on the weekend, it is a privately owned company and they are recruiting for the role themselves and not through an agency. I had a talk on the phone with the person from the company about the role and it sounded promising and they said they would call back later to arrange an interview. Still waiting on the call, applications don’t close till this Friday, so l guess l won’t hear for a few days about the interview. Company is nearby which would be good for travel time of about 15 minutes and several alternative routes to avoid any traffic jams, which would be good for me again and wouldn’t be too expensive in the Range Rover, so a new car wouldn’t be  a priority if l got the role.

Had an old work colleague call me, who is coming to Perth for a couple of days for work meetings, whilst Mistress is away, we arranged for a dinner meeting, he will call back next week when he is more sure of the days and times he is in Perth, so a bit of socialization for me to look forward to when Mistress is away and dinner is going to be on his expense account, even better.

Doing this we saved the $150 for a 250 gig hard drive, which they sell for the new slim line design Xbox 360, apparently for some of the games like Halo, you cannot play them on the new slim model without a hard drive as the 4 gig is a flash drive memory system and the game save requires to be written to a hard drive not flash.

So we took the new slim line 4 gig Xbox 360 home and set it up , will wait a week for the new plastic hard drive cover case to arrive in the mail, and will then fit the old 60 gig hard drive into it and retrieve all my old game play data.
